Flu vaccination for construction and engineering

Site cabins, short programmes and a workforce that changes between one clinic and the next.

The constraint

Construction sites are transient, subcontractor-heavy and tightly controlled on access. The workforce on site in November may be substantially different from the one in September, and a significant proportion may be employed by someone else entirely, which raises a question about who is paying for what.

How we run it

Cabin and welfare-unit clinics

We work from whatever private space exists on site, including welfare units and site offices.

Induction completed in advance

CSCS requirements, site-specific induction and PPE arranged before the date.

Subcontractor scope agreed up front

We will vaccinate everyone on site and bill by employer, or restrict to your direct employees. Either works, but it needs deciding before the day rather than at the door.

Depot clinics for the permanent workforce

Where the site population is too transient, we cover the core team at the depot and issue vouchers for the rest.

Tetanus

Tetanus is the vaccination construction risk assessments most often identify alongside flu. Groundworks and any activity carrying puncture or contamination risk put it in scope, and most UK adults have completed the childhood schedule but not necessarily the adult boosters. We check status and deliver boosters where indicated, as part of occupational health vaccination.

The standard service

From £11.99 per person, reducing with team size. Quadrivalent vaccine, individual clinical screening, pharmacist administration, anaphylaxis cover and uptake reporting within 48 hours, all included. No setup fee, and you pay only for vaccinations actually given.

Common questions

Can you attend a live construction site?

Yes. We complete site induction in advance and work within your access, PPE and permit rules.

What about subcontractor staff?

Your call. We can vaccinate everyone on site and invoice by employer, or restrict to your direct employees. Agree it before the clinic date.

Do you cover tetanus as well?

Yes, where the risk assessment indicates it. It is commonly run alongside the flu clinic in the same visit.
