Corporate flu vaccination is one of the simplest health benefits an employer can offer. Flu causes a share of short-term winter absence, and unlike most causes of sickness it can be vaccinated against. The usual barrier is not willingness. It is logistics.

When employees have to book their own appointment, take time out of the day and travel to a pharmacy or GP surgery, many never get round to it. When a pharmacist arrives at the office with everything needed and colleagues are back at their desks five minutes later, far more people take part. That is the whole idea.

What a corporate flu programme includes

• seasonal influenza vaccine, cold-chain validated from wholesaler to point of administration.
• Consent and medical screening forms brought to site by our pharmacist and completed by each employee on the day. A personalised employee FAQ, prepared for your organisation, is sent in advance for you to circulate.
• Individual clinical screening on the day. Anyone for whom vaccination is not appropriate is safely deferred and you are not charged.
• Administration by a registered pharmacist, with post-vaccination observation.
• Anaphylaxis kit and trained responder present at every clinic.
• Uptake reporting within 48 hours, suitable for your occupational health file.
• Full indemnity and public liability cover.

Pricing

Corporate flu vaccination is quoted per person, with your rate confirmed in a written quote for your team, location and clinic arrangements. The clinic fee covers pharmacist attendance, travel to your workplace, clinic setup and temperature-controlled vaccine transport. Beyond 100 miles of central London, we run full-day clinics only, whatever your team size, and travel or overnight costs may be added to your quote. There is no minimum contract. You are invoiced only for vaccinations actually administered, so individual deferrals and no-shows are not counted as vaccinations. Employers with several locations usually run the second option, with clinic dates sequenced across the estate and reporting consolidated into a single uptake figure.

Is it worth it?

We would rather give you the honest version than a headline figure. The published evidence on workplace vaccination and absence reduction is mixed, because effect size depends heavily on how well the season's vaccine matches circulating strains and how much of your workforce takes part. Independent reviews have found reductions in influenza-like illness among vaccinated working-age adults, with a smaller and less certain effect on total days of absence.

Timing

The UK flu season typically runs from October to March, with peak circulation between December and February. Immunity takes around two weeks to develop and wanes over the season, so October and early November suit most employers best.

Booking early gives you the widest choice of dates, as vaccine stock and pharmacist time are planned ahead. It is not too late in October or November: tell us your preferred dates and we will confirm what we can offer.

Running the clinic day

You need a private room with a table, two chairs and a sink or hand-sanitiser point. We bring everything else, including the sharps bin. A pharmacist vaccinates roughly 10 to 12 people per hour, so one pharmacist covers around 40 people in a half day and 80 in a full day.
